The heart of West Mountain Animal Hospital lies with its dedicated staff. Each member of our team is knowledgeable, caring and shows a sincere interest in all our companion animal patients. Our staff strives to provide a compassionate, warm and professional atmosphere, ensuring happy clients and healthy pets.
Melissa Wicks- Licensed Veterinary Technician
Melissa started at West Mountain Animal Hospital in April of 2007. She graduated from Cedar Valley College (AVMA and AAHA accredited college) as a Certified Veterinary Technician and is Fear Free Certified. Melissa is also our Inventory Manager and is a Surgery Technician.
Terri Pettibone- Receptionist
Terri has been a part of our team since September of 2005. Including the day to day tasks of the front desk, Terri makes sure our clients get their friendly postcard reminders each month. She also helps out with other end of month projects.
Barb Hunt- Receptionist
Barb has been with WMAH since November of 2006. Her willingness to train new employees is an asset to West Mountain. She always has a smiling face at the front desk. Barb is in charge of sending out our holiday and sympathy cards to our clients.
Jana Sleeman- Receptionist/Veterinary Asst.
Jana came to us in April of 2013. She does a great job at welcoming clients and their pets. She is taking classes to become a Certified Veterinarian Assistant. Jana always wants to learn and help out where needed. She keeps up on our social media, photography and helps out at special events at WMAH.
Olivia Mazeski- Certified Veterinary Technician
Olivia started at WMAH in September of 2017. She graduated from Holyoke Community College in May of 2017 and passed the VTNE to become a Certified Veterinarian Technician in November of 2017. She is passionate about animal care. In her spare time she enjoys hiking with canine companion, Pyxis.
Cathy Kocsis- Office Manager
Cathy started with WMAH as a receptionist in 1985, from there moved in the the Office Manager position and has been the Practice Manager since 2008. She is very proud to be with WMAH for so long and she still loves coming to work each day. She is part of a team that strives for and delivers outstanding client service and exceptional patient care. She treats every patient with kindness and compassion and provides their owners with empathy and respect regardless of their ability to pay. She is fortunate to have younger associates who believe in the very foundation that WMAH was built upon using the Accredited Standards from the American Animal Hospital Association. The alliance that has been formed between WMAH and AAHA will remain strong long after she is gone.
Jennifer Billert- Staff Coordinator
Jennifer has been working at West Mountain Animal Hospital since July of 2001. She is a welcoming face at the front desk, an assistant to the Veterinarians, and coordinates staff. Her work ethic, compassion and willingness to learn is an asset to West Mountain Animal Hospital. She also teaches puppy classes at WMAH.
Jennifer Licata - Veterinary Asst.
Jennifer has been with WMAH since April 2017 and is very passionate about animal care and client education. She is currently in her last semester of Vet Tech School and is working toward receiving her license. Jennifer is also working on her Fear Free Certification to continue making all our patients comfortable and relaxed for their visits.
Kendra Saunders- Licensed Veterinary Technician
Kendra came to WMAH in February of 2018. She graduated from Morrisville in 2008 with a degree in Agricultural Business and from Suny Canton in 2013 with her Veterinary Technician License. Kendra lives in Greenwich, NY with her French Bulldog. In her spare time, she enjoys her family and spending time outdoors.
Shannon Gras- Receptionist
Shannon came to us in February of 2018. She has worked in customer service since she was 16 years old. Shannon has had a life long passion for animals and is dedicated in giving great client care. She resides in Bennington, VT with her canine family.
Shelby Whitman- Veterinarian Assistant
Shelby started at WMAH in September of 2017. She graduated from Southern Vermont College with a Bachelors in Science in May of 2017. Shelby is working on applying to Veterinarian schools to continue her education to become a Veterinarian. Her hobbies include clogging and outdoor activities.
